If indeed it isn't a tax (and I'll admit to not understanding the 
argument), then could this be an example of a lie repeated so often that 
it's become accepted as truth? Have even those whom the lie 
disadvantages come to the conclusion that, with powerful forces like the 
Murdoch empire on the other side, truth is a lost cause?
