IMHO,
Cloud is all about economies of scale and standardisation.

However,  the over-riding issue wrt cloud is trust.

If you are considering cloud then there are a number of questions that 
you should ask yourself:

Do you trust the vendor...

not to access the data?
to prevent others, who shouldn't access your data, from doing so?
to return your data when you ask?
to be able to return your data in a reasonable time? (a bandwidth issue)
to manage your data properly (DR/BC etc)
to provide services that keep pace with evolving technology? (something 
which can stuff both economies of scale and standardisation)

If you are happy with the answers to all those questions, then go ahead. 
If you are not completely satisfied, then be afraid, be very afraid.
