I was wondering how they solve the phase synchonisation problem. Unlike series DC, there's more to synching AC power sources than just wiring them together. If you get the phases wrong you get nasty side effects.
So I looked up micro-inverters and came across this: http://www.microchip.com/stellent/groups/SiteComm_sg/documents/DeviceDoc/en550277.pdf Grid-Connected Solar Microinverter Reference Design from a company called Microchip. The electronics and software are quite complex and, as Michael said, it needs high volumes to get the cost down. -- Regards brd Bernard Robertson-Dunn Sydney Australia email: [email protected] web: www.drbrd.com web: www.problemsfirst.com Blog: www.problemsfirst.com/blog _______________________________________________ Link mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
