'US government consumer affairs bodies'? Close to a null set? And private consumer affairs bodies, i.e. NGOs, get funding to launch litigation from where? And remember that the distribution of wealth and income is hopelessly skewed in the US. So, in practice, most of such funding as NGOs get is probably prioritised to address issues that affect the lowest socio-economic groups. Things aren't all *that* great here, but many other countries face far worse situations. -- Roger Clarke http://www.rogerclarke.com/ Xamax Consultancy Pty Ltd 78 Sidaway St, Chapman ACT 2611 AUSTRALIA Tel: +61 2 6288 6916 http://about.me/roger.clarke mailto:[email protected] http://www.xamax.com.au/ Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Law University of N.S.W.
