That's where problems will come from. 1. Most IT people are not used to dealing with data. Technology, yes, information no. Data and information issues are often buried within applications and software. 2. Keeping data accurate is a major task. How many names are on watch lists that are a) ambiguous or b) ill defined c) incorrectly used? 3. Making decisions on inaccurate data can be disastrous. 4. Large collections of data are hard to protect. Can we all spell NSA, Snapchat, Target? Have a look at http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/worlds-biggest-data-breaches-hacks/ Beware technologists making predictions. -- Regards brd Bernard Robertson-Dunn Sydney Australia email: [email protected] web: www.drbrd.com web: www.problemsfirst.com Blog: www.problemsfirst.com/blog _______________________________________________ Link mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
