IMHO, the best quote from that article is "It wasn't that long ago that technology from US companies was implicitly trusted ..." In today's technology infested societies the biggest issue is now trust. The USA has lost it big time and in quick time. Unfortunately for the USA, trust takes a long time to earn but it can disappear in an instant. Many of today's commercial, financial and social systems are built on trust, without that trust they will work a lot less easily. The USA and many of its citizens are used to resolving issues with force. Force does not engender trust it creates fear. We are in for a bumpy, or maybe sluggish, ride as the USA economy fails to recover as quickly as hoped. -- Regards brd Bernard Robertson-Dunn Sydney Australia email: [email protected] web: www.drbrd.com web: www.problemsfirst.com Blog: www.problemsfirst.com/blog _______________________________________________ Link mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
