Does it matter if the data is incorrect? e.g. wrong values, wrong 
dates/times misunderstanding of measurement procedures, etc.

I assume that, statistically, incorrect data would be seen as noise and 
would not be particularly harmful.

However, point data might be a bit of a problem. Can the system be 
accessed/searched down to the individual data source?
