This is an interesting point given Tom's comment about the national curriculum (the content outline and objectives, subjects to cover, NOT the actual content and activities). If the teachers are expected to use technology as a delivery platform in their classrooms as well as for independent study, homework, practice, etc., then creating and managing those activities will be necessary. Think comparison to paper handouts. Something needs to be in concrete form. How does the teacher do that? Are they taught the advantage and means to create compact PDFs with completion fields and then a way to 'collect' them from students? How do they mark them and make feedback comments? How are those returned to students? Is it completely electronic/digital or will some things be printed? How does a parent get involved? How are study groups managed? It's not just the learning content, but the entire learning Process that needs to be thought through. Teaching and learning is not just reading and taking an exam. There is a rich middle process that needs to occur as well, that is, if good practice is followed.
