'Hot Chips' does indeed appear in the 'early adopters' list: http://www.rogerclarke.com/II/OzWH.html#EA If I'd known of blackstump before now, it would have qualified too, because May 1995 was the endpoint I arbitrarily selected (because the site-counts exploded from then on). Menus like blackstump were highly valuable at the time, given that the search engine phenomenon started only in Dec 1995 with Altavista (which committed suicide in 2000, leaving the field to the newcomer, Google). -- Roger Clarke http://www.rogerclarke.com/ Xamax Consultancy Pty Ltd 78 Sidaway St, Chapman ACT 2611 AUSTRALIA Tel: +61 2 6288 6916 http://about.me/roger.clarke mailto:[email protected] http://www.xamax.com.au/ Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Law University of N.S.W.
