I'm sure the Hansard stenographers don't follow minsters into the loos on the off-chance that they might meet a colleague in there and have an impromptu conversation.
It does occur to me though that if one wanted to intercept private communications a great way to start would be to fund a startup that advertised 'encrypted', 'completely private' messaging, build a back door into it and then wait.
