Here's his definition of Digital Health "Digital Health is a disruptive and transformational approach to the delivery of healthcare, with a focus on engaging and empowering patients, activating caregiver networks and understanding that patients are increasingly behaving as consumers of healthcare. Digital Health provides us with a toolbox of technologies and techniques that support the development of new, innovative patient and caregiver-centred models of care, driving improved engagement, accessibility, quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability into all corners of the health system." Extracting deep meaning, this can be translated as: "Digital Health is a new approach to the delivery of healthcare. Digital Health provides us with a toolbox of technologies and techniques." That's not much of a definition, in my book. In many respects it's like the predictions made by many technologists in the late 1990s for the Internet. All about freedom, a new democracy, power to the people, ready access to the world's information etc etc. That's not the internet I see today. -- Regards brd Bernard Robertson-Dunn Sydney Australia email: [email protected] web: www.drbrd.com web: www.problemsfirst.com Blog: www.problemsfirst.com/blog _______________________________________________ Link mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
