To anyone outside an urban area, this sort of thing is far too familiar.
I hate to think how many lives have been lost, apart from other costs.
Telstra told The Age on Friday residents have to make it clear if they have no
access to fixed voice service to trigger the USO.
"The Belmond Estate is in the NBN rollout map," the Telstra spokesman said.
The NBN has given Telstra another excuse to evade responsibility. A very
good argument for Australia reverting to a single, publicly owned and
operated, telecommunications infrastructure provider. Sadly, our
government is complicit.
