The Federal government will spend nearly $10 billion on information technology 
this financial year, a massive boost of nearly $3 billion since the Coalition 
came to power.

As the government looks to make deeper cuts in other areas, spending by the 
public service and military establishment has soared from $6.7 billion in the 
2014-2015 financial year to $9.3 billion in 2015-2016 and is projected to grow 
by another $300 million this year, the office of Digital Transformation 
Minister Angus Taylor has confirmed.
