...and let other corporations take control instead. I notice that there's no mention of people, the users, the owners of the phones having control over something so important to their lives in the modern world. This is just a big whinge by another corporation wanting to control other people's digital lives - they're envious of the spyware 24/7 tracking and lock-in of google and apple, and want it for themselves. It also seems like a bit of a re-branding exercise by telcos or wanna-be telcos, pissed off about the fact that they're increasingly relegated to being just the plumbing, not the lords and masters of comms tech. Screw them. and apple and google and facebook too. craig PS: there are two places where "smarts" really belong in a network, at both of the end-points. Not in the middle, and not at the "edge" (whic is just a shinier, fancier term for middle). -- craig sanders <[email protected]> _______________________________________________ Link mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
