That's exactly what I've done (and shared with Roger). TBird works fine
for most things. Eudora is still here as my old archive rather than
transferring into TBird. But from the switch, the mail and contacts are
in my Thunderbird system.
I also discovered there are add-ons like other Mozilla products. Use at
your peril, but at least they're there to try.
