I set up dmarc out of interest and I am getting the odd error message from
yahoo and fastmail.

Apparently the problem is that emails from me to the link list when they reach subscribers have my email in the from: header but the domain mailman.anu.edu.au in the envelope and they don't match.  According to Dr duckduckgo this can cause people with yahoo.com email addresses to bounce the emails and then subsequently get removed as a subscriber.

This is described here: https://mail-list.com/yahoo-dmarc-solution/

and here:

https://dmarc.org/wiki/FAQ#Is_there_special_handling_required_to_receive_DMARC_email_from_mailing_lists.3F

And there seems to be no real solution apart from messing with each mailing
list which is not possible for subscribers.

So far I'm not sure DMARC isn't more trouble than it's worth.
