Dear List:
For years I have been using a links 2.1pre28 because it is just good
enough to get into several pages that the later non-JS versions cant.

I compiled it in Slackware4 and it was very difficult for a novice like
me.
Even running confifgure was a fight.
I got it to enable javascript and bullied it through some errors and
trouble finding things. I never dared to enable graphics.

Just now I tried the same thing in slackware12. What a dream!
Straight out of the box svgalib worked. And links looks wonderful! I love
it.

It runs my webmail and a few trade web sites with search engine up front.
The ability to run without a mouse is amazing.

I really feel that JS was abandoned too soon.

Bye
Kali
