Hello there, I think, I remember this issue: version 0.12.2 had the problem, that the snd_card_has_data() returned true, but you don't know how many bytes are available (maybe only one), so the following snd_card_read() could block.
Has this behaviour changed in 1.0.1 (sorry, I am still running 0.12.2 on the ARM platform).
