Summary: ':', '@', '.' characters are stripped from the SIP address when viewing from the Linphone's contact view.
Environment: IPhone 3GS IOS4.1 Linphone 1.0.3 Reproduction steps: 1. Stored a SIP address in a contact of the form: sip:<number>@<static ip>, eg sip:[email protected] <sip%[email protected]> ... (not real number or ip address). 2. In Linphone go to contacts, open contact with sip number entered (from step 1) 3. Observe stripped characters in sip address. ie: sip038765432119216801 4. pressing the sip number in the contact screen uses the stripped sip address Expected behavior: - Step 3, should show the sip address exactly as entered in step 1 - Step 4 should use the correct sip address - Any valid sip address can be stored, viewed & used Suspicion: It seems like the iphone treats the SIP address as an email address or some thing where as linphone filters to show only phone numbers, or unexpectedly filters out characters that would not form part of a valid phone number. -- Imre
