Hello,
I have found the reason for the delay.
It seems in between those two packets the hardware device is doing some DNS
Query. There were two DNS servers available for the network but the first one
didn't answer his DNS query. So after that request timed out, the second DNS
server was used, gave the answer and the packet was sent out.
I don't know if this is due to altered code of the manufacturer or standard
linphone source.
Thank you for your answer Jehan.
Best regards
Stefaan

Onderwerp: Re: [Linphone-users] Huge delay between 100 Trying and 180 Ringing
Hi Stefaan,
Well I don't see any reason for Linphone to wait 6s between the 101 and the
180. Your hardware device manufacturer has probably modified Linphone
somewhere.
To double check you may ask for Linphone source code , and see what's going
wrong.
Cheers

Hello,
I have several hardware devices, using linphone embedded, connecting to our Sip
Server. They are connecting over internet.
On one of the connections I notice a huge delay between the "trying" "dialog
establishment"packets and the "ringing" packet.
Any hints on how I can find out where the trouble might be? As the hardware
devices have only a webinterface where I can change some settings, I cannot
really go into debugging on the device itself.
I have attached a screenshot of the callflow I have traced on the sipserver
itself.
Any clues are highly appreciated.
Best regards
