Actually the version of linphone that reports itself as 3.6.1, but it still doesn't have Opus. I downloaded the tarball for opus and compiled it per the opus instructions, but no luck, no Opus in Linphone...

Neat, I just compiled the linux version of Linphone 3.6.0 on my Ubuntu machine and evidently I have to do some extra to make it work with Opus. What do I need to do? Just download/compile the Opus and then recompile Linphone?

Hi,

We plan to officially support OPUS for next release. However, in the meantime, 3.6.0 Linux/MACOSX can be compiled with opus. So do not hesitate to test it.

Somebody mentioned that the 3.6.0 version of Linphone included the Opus codec. But I don't find it there. Is it possible to recompile and add the codec? Supposedly it's a replacement for the speex codec's and the VOIP users conference was asking for people to test it.
