In my view ,The best solution, not just Linphone, would be an address book & bookmark manager software that will manage URIs such as magnet: mailto: sip: xmpp: ftp:// http:// rsync:// smb:// ssh:// etc. Instead of being relied on the whims of a freaking heavy XUL based web browser or on any other software that uses a non-standard manner to manage lists of URI. A universal URI manager.
