John,
Please do not attempt to install the plugins. They have not been uploaded
to the PPA. With 'apt-get', you can use the option
'--no-install-recommends'.
The library 'libudev1' is a dependency which is different between Debian
and Ubuntu. I uploaded a new version ("~ppa3") that should fix the issue.
