This link tells us that OpenGL rendering drivers have various quality, not
that the issue is forcefully in your code.

From my own personal experience (1) an OpenGL user code may work perfectly
on some drivers & not at all on others, and (2) Vbox OpenGL guest driver
for Linux is utterly broken (probably of the same order of magnitude as
the Mali/Qualcomm one) and therefore, non-software rendering is likely to
require a non-trivial amount of work.

On the other hand, improving experience dealing with those various OpenGL
implementations might increase Linphone robustness on many Android (and
other) devices.  That might real workarounds (such as those Dave Airlie
did) or User warning message such as "Linphone is (not)known to work on
your device" based on the OpenGL vendor string (similar to the Browser
User-Agent).

This is a Bell-Comm choice ;-)
