Hello,
Sorry, my mistake in explaining...
The real non-working stuff is calling a contact like
"contact name" <user@destinationaddress:destport> .
I tested with user@destinationaddress:destport and It is working fine by
making the call.
I supposed that it was the same...
Do you reproduce it ?
Regards,
Serge

Salut,
Thanks for the report.
I could not reproduce the crash, which may be due to our recent work on
the belle sip stack to escape disallowed characters.
When calling user@destinationaddress:destport the expected behaviour
is to encode all this in a sip username.
If you have an account configured you will get an error message as the
peer is not found.

Hello,
I would like to submit an improvement request based on an end user behaviour.
A friend of mine was trying linphone 3.6.1 on windows to contact me with
user@destinationaddress:destport instead of
sip:user@destinationaddress:destport (trying to make a direct SIP call like in
local network).
The 'sip:' was missing. Obviously, it may not be well working.
The resulted behaviour is linphone is crashing.
The expected behaviour is not crashing. I see some options : displaying an
error message or a warning message for invalid contact, or eventually add the
'sip:' on the fly (but, I am not sure about that idea).
