FWIW, I just updated to Linphone-2.5.1 (from F-Droid) and the behavior
has slightly changed. I haven't had a chance to dig into it very much,
but at least now when I make a call, it seems that I get output on the
speaker (I didn't have headphones at hand to see if they also worked),
but the icon is still greyed out.
