Hi,

i think this will be going to be religious :D for example there are
distributions who dont have those problems. The question is, is it the concern
of linphone to fix upstream problems.

If Canonical can't provide an stable Rolling Release distribution or at least a
system to upgrade the software without breaking everything, whos concern is
this?

Maybe this is really something to consider but i personally dont really like
it. It seems lke Ubuntu is turning into Windows/OSX, but for free, but with
less features. Thats it. Poorman version of Windows/OSX. If that is the future
im kinda out :D

Regards

Marcel

Yes. Actually not Windows, more Mac way (dmg, pkg packages).

I perfectly agree with your concern and understand the problems which is
bringing Snap system, but for some cases, I must admit it has
advantages. I think in Linphone case using Snap could be advantage.

And Ubuntu is now officially supporting Snap packages and as I am
reading around also kind of promoting them...
