Linphone should support CardDAV protocol for a remote contacts storage,
to be more complete.

Hi there,
I’m coming back on Michael’s post
https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/linphone-users/2022-08/msg00013.html <https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/linphone-users/2022-08/msg00013.html> that didn’t receive answers.
I use Linphone as a SIP client on a Samsung S23 Ultra and would
appreciate to be able to receive a notification including the caller
name in place of his phone number.
Incoming calls on our SIP provided by OVH appear as this :
/+336xxxxxxxx/
/sip:[email protected] <sip:[email protected]>/
/Appel entrant/
Unfortunately, the name of the caller, if it is saved in the phone's
contact list in international format, does not appear. Linphone only
displays the caller's number.
However, I noticed that if I save the number in national format in the
phone's contacts, without the +33 prefix, the incoming calls appear as
this :
/Callername/
/sip:[email protected] <sip:[email protected]>/
/Appel entrant/
OVH answer is as follows :
/« Since the Linphone softphone is not provided by OVH, we cannot
provide support for this software. The malfunction is in the interaction
between the contacts on your phone and the Linphone softphone, I invite
you to contact Linphone support »/
Is there an option to get around this problem, knowing that I have more
than 7500 contacts saved in international format in my phone?
Thank you in advance for your comments on this matter.
Daniel
