Hi all,

I have some basic questions but even though I have been
using Linrad for quite a while I can t seem to find answers.
Most of my issues are related to the I/Q signals.

My first one is: how does one get into the I/Q cal routine?

Upon switching to xlinrad-02.17 from my ancient version
(effortless using the *.deb) I have now found this menu.
My other issues (see below) remain.

Many thanks,

Secondly, i am using a Time Machine with acceptable resuls
for my application: microwave sdr, where quality is less of
an issue in absolute terms but the pan display capability is
worth gold.

My intention is to replicate this setup for our contest station,
this time using a few Softrock v7.

I find that while the uncorrected I/Q Time Machines shows
the image at least 30 dB down, while this is only about 20
using the SoftRock, that is a surpise to me.

When using the Softrock with Rocky, the auto I/Q balancing
works fine and the correction graphs show flat gain (to within
a few %) but the phase goes from -20 degrees to +20 degrees,
in a perfectly straight line from -22 to +22 kHz.

This points to an error in my Softrock I presume but after
extensive troubleshooting I have not been able to pinpoint it.

Many thanks for any assistance,
Xtof on4iy

PS: using Delta 44 with Linrad, and generic card for Rocky.
