Any hardware you could find on the market today would be 100% OK. With 02-37 and later there is also a transmitter in the package. At the moment network does not work simulataneously because the call sendto(...) that the network uses will disturb the tx routines for reasons that I currently have not investigated. Most probably a multi-core platform would not have any such problems since the call to sendto(...) would not lock up more than one core. Whether this means that you should go for an Intel Duo or some other multi core solution or whether (as in the "old days") anything would be fine I do not know. > 2. Is the delta44 sound card still the favorite one, or is there > nowadays a better one available (e.g. by HPSDR)? I am sure better cards are available, the A/D converter of the Lynx Two is much better although the soundcard is useless because of the way Lynx Two derives its sampling clock. HPSDR should be much better, but I have not had a chance to verify that everything is operating properly. > 3. Amount of memory( 1Gbyte or more)? This depends on what you want to do. > 4. Which development tools are necessary if I will write add-ons (C is > not a problem for me)? It will be automatically available for you under Linux - and is is very easily available under Windows. Ebverything is described here: http://www.sm5bsz.com/linuxdsp/linrad.htm Compilers and the make utility for Windows are available from the site. Under Linux they are included in the standard packages. 73 Leif / SM5BSZ ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <linrad@antennspecialisten.se>.
