At this point, remove the CD from the MP3000 and place it in a Unix/Linux system, then use the FTP installation method. The "Load from CD-ROM or Server" function of the SE is different that the "Installation from CD-ROM". The CD-ROM is recognizable by the SE which loads a Linux binary image into memory. The CD-ROM is not recognizable by Linux on S/390. (If the CD had some special Optical Media Attach control files on it, the MP3000 would make it look like a tape drive, but Linux doesn't install that way.)
