Which appl, then? I am using emacs, xemacs(21.4.15), kterm, UDB and even WAS3.5 AE without any significant problem.
In most cases, it's fairly easy... What you need is DBCS founts (provided with X) and typing: export LANG=<appropriate lang type> Sometimes you need additional founts, though.
