Since I did not get a response from [EMAIL PROTECTED], maybe someone here can shed some light on this? I don't know whether this changed in later versions, like in the GA version, so reporting problems against the SuSE distribution in general gets kind of pointless for me. One of the effects of the choice SuSE made not to make their GA available for download.
Rob ----------- Could you explain why there is a cpint.o file contained in the k_deflt-2.4.7-31 /lib/modules/2.4.7-SuSE-SMP/misc/cpint.o The cpint source is not part of the source tree, but it is open source, so I would expect it to be either included in some tools rpm or so. I built my own rpm to install cpint (not only cpint.o but also the userspace binary hcp which is not in the SuSE rpm) and it is unpleasant to have people specify '--force' to install my package.
