Don't forget to run the first "depmod -a" command.  I don't recall if Red
Hat runs that on every boot or not, so I tend to do that manually before the
first boot.

What I do is make sure the appropriate 'alias eth0 lcs' is in
/etc/modules.conf and
then create the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and have
ONBOOT=yes
in it.
I think 'linuxconf' can do, but the scheme is so simple that I can do it by
hand...
