Hello from Gregg C Levine normally with Jedi Knight Computers Go ahead everyone, and laugh at this question, but it should be asked, even by a Jedi Knight. Since everyone needs to roll their own kernel from provided sources at some point, during the installation of the image, to production functions, it follows that since the source code is available for everything, why not essentially make your distribution, based on what is available? Granted copyrighted code that is delivered under the name of the company, providing the base, will have to retain it, plus the name of the person doing the rolling, but surely it must have occurred to someone? At least once? I know that I played with the idea anywhere from fifty to one-hundred times. I kept throwing it out, on all but the ninety-ninth time, because I could customize a distribution to match my interests, and needs. Flames to me please. ------------------- Gregg C Levine [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------ "The Force will be with you...Always."
