I'm working with a system I've upgraded from SuSE 7.0 GA per Rob van der
Heij's instructions.

Weirdly, zipl does not create a bootable partition: I have to boot from
a 2.2 rescue volume and run silo if I want to update the boot kernel.
Also, when I add new DASD to this system, unless I *both* CMS format the
disk and then dasdfmt -l ldl it, I can't mke2fs, as its size is reported
to mke2fs as zero (even though dasdfmt is quite happy with its actual
size).

My question is, which step or steps did I miss when doing the upgrade to
2.4.7? Clearly this isn't happening to everyone...
