Adam,

I agree with Rob on the possibility of an MTU size problem for your telnet
issue.

As far as the DASD stuff goes, the Red Hat installer program dynamically
creates the entries in /dev after it loads the DASD driver. I'm not exactly
sure why they chose this route, but they did, although it may be because you
can now choose either a cdl or ldl DASD layout, which would change which
/dev/dasdxy entries are needed. Once you get past your problem starting
loader, you'll find that the /dev/dasdxy entries get created after you tell
it what DASD layout you want.

Subject: RH 7.2 on IS ?

Anyone tried to install RH 7.2 on an IS?

I boot from the reader fine, but then everything just seems to hang when
I run loader after telnetting in.

I don't have any /dev/dasdX devices, which seems strange, although the
initial dasd probe seems to have worked.
