This environment should be all set up once the PUT2PROD step has been
completed within the z/VM installation. I CC'd the email for "any
comments
about this publication can be sent to" and hopefully that will help others
as well.

I now have my z/VM 4.2 system running and have remote access to the z/vm
console so I'm starting my z/vm and linux 'experience'.

The first thing I found (so far) is that the SAF doc is incomplete. After
IPL'ing z/VM and logging into MAINT you *CAN*NOT* use the VMADMCTL command
as it will not be found.

You first have to enter VMFSETUP ZVM CP to access the appropriate disks
and then VMADMCTL will start.

Or am I missing something here?
