Oracle9i for z/Linux Developer's Release

Oracle is pleased to announce that the Oracle9i for z/Linux (64-bit)
Developer's Release is now available for download on OTN. This is a 64-bit
product release designed to run exclusively on and exploit IBM's zSeries
(64-bit) hardware.

Oracle9i for Linux/390 Developer's Release

An updated Oracle9i Enterprise Edition for Linux/390 Developer's Release is
now available for download on OTN. The updated download contains additional
header files and supplies connectivity with Oracle on Intel based systems
(Linux/Intel, NT, Win2000).

Both downloads can be found on OTN!

Update on the future!

For those of you looking for Java capability, once the JDK (Java Development
Kit) becomes available from IBM (expected end of January 2002), Oracle will
be able to incorporate Java capability into the Oracle9i for Linux/390
Developer�s Releases.

The decision on delivering a production Oracle9i Database Server for
Linux/390 will be made public March 17, 2002 on OTN!
