Well, I don't think I have ever had a good experience with AOL or their software, so based on my history with them, if they buy RedHat that would be a good reason to not install/uninstall RedHat.

Officals from AOL, RedHat and Microsoft all declined comment. The story cares a byline of the Washington Post, so I would expect it to be available on their Web site and in other major newspapers.
