Hello, we have an IUCV-Problem with our Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma) Kernel 2.4.9-17 on an s390. From time to time we get hit by a weird TCP/IP-connection hang. Partly it recovers after a few minutes! and partly it doesn't and we have to recycle the interface. Our L/390 are running on a G6 on top of VM V3.1. We never had such a problem with SuSE Linux 7.0 (s390) - Kernel 2.2.16, so I believe it must be the RedHat environment. I searched all the log-files on linux and VM but didn't find any entry pointing to an error.
I would like to use this situation to get into linux diagnosing and debugging and hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately I don't know how to start.
