The 9672 ZZ7 and every box in the S/390 and zSeries line is NOT, and I repeat NOT, based on the Intel processor. Never was. It is a proprietary IBM general purpose processor technology that has it roots in over 35 years of technology and innovation. The 5GB to 32GB number is internal storage, RAM to the PC world. The disk (what S390 calls DASD) capacity is currently 11TB (that's terabytes). As if there weren't enough FUD in the world about Mainframes, we do not need uninformed publications spreading misinformation to the masses. Do fact checking, talk to knowledgable people, get it right!
