That's probably true. I'm used to working with Linux/390 guests under VM. If I can't get a network driver loaded, I just create some vCTC links to another Linux/390 guest and ssh in from there.

Tee hee... when you're trying to load the qeth that is probably because you don't have a network connection, and cannot use vi even if you knew how to use it. I think there was some redundancy in the commands, but then you only need this once. Rob
