I'd like to trade notes with anyone who's actually running IBM's "on demand timer"
kernel patch on an S/390 or zSeries box, especially under VM.  We're trying to
reduce unnecesary CPU consumption by our several dozen Linux/390 guests, and
the VMer in me "knows" that getting rid of the 100-times-a-second timer pop must
be a good thing.  But before I go through the rigamarole of getting it installed on
a system I can try real workloads on, I'd like to see what others have experienced.
