version of:
initrd - whatever is out on the RH 7.2 /images/tapeinrd.img + I did do
the OCO magic
 kernel - 2.4.9-17BOOTtape
rhsetup

I did scrap the process and again try the RH ftp site with a "sniffer".
it finally began to work, albeit very slow. Now to figure out what to do
when the ftp install ends. Keep reading until then. j-me

Jammie,

Which version of the initrd and kernel are you using? Are you using the
"loader" or "rhsetup" installer?

I finally have the ENTIRE RedHat tree (RedHat - RPMS, base, installer)
to my laptop. I am running an ftp server (RH 7.1) on the laptop. I run
"rhsetup" via telnet or Putty I get the same results. After telling it
the username:password@IP, I begin to see the laptop HD light-up and then
on my session here's the results:

Mounting filesystems...
insmod: a module named loop already exists (this is from running
it multiple times)
insmod: a module named cramfs already exists (ditto)

/dev/ram1 is mounted; mke2fs forced anyway. Hope /etc/mtab is
incorrect.
mount: /dev/ram1 already mounted or /mnt1 busy
mount: according to mtab, /dev/ram1 is already mounted on /mnt1

I'm getting connected but why do I get this message?
