I would like to try SAMBA. My Linux-390 host is connected to the network through a
VCTCA to a VSE host which has a CLAW connection to an RS/6000.

I am using the default config file as suggested in the IBM redbook.

When I try to bring up nmbd -D, it appears to fail and the log file has the following
message:

[2002/02/17 16:45:01, 0] nmbd/nmbd_subnetdb.c:create_subnets(242)
  create_subnets: No local interfaces !
[2002/02/17 16:45:01, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(831)
ERROR: Failed when creating subnet lists. Exiting.

Does each Linux guest have to own the ethernet card?

If so, then your Linux guests are limited by the number of eithernet cards you can
give them?

Can I change something to make it work with VCTCA?

Thanks,
Rod
