Hi Dan, What you REALLY want to do is have service virtual machines (such as a Linux virtual machine) query their virtual console. If the console is disconnected, it should proceed with the automatic IPL. If the console is connected (i.e. a human has logged on) it should prompt them what to do rather than assuming anything. I personally do this for EVERY service virtual machine. I'll be happy to send you some generic code that will do the query and prompt if you like. :)

Anyone have the command?? I would like to be able to AUTOLOG my Linux images and have them auto IPL but also want to be able to signon for maintenance purposes without IPLing Linux. Thanks - Dan
