Heinz,

No, I don't know why. You could probably install the SRPM and see if there
are any comments there as to why. Or, install the SRPM, then do an "rpm -bp
samba.spec" and then go to the BUILD/samba... directory and do your own
./configure and make.

Subject: Samba's /usr/bin/rpcclient module

We are using RedHat Linux for S/390 7.2. One of our objectives
is the consolidation/elimination of Print-/File-Servers by
Linux/390. We want to achieve this with Samba (of course) and
for the management of the printer drivers we intent to use
a utility called Imprints.
Imprints demands Samba's smbclient and rpcclient. Unfortunately
rpcclient is not included in the RedHat packet
samba-client-2.2.1a-5.s390.rpm.
Has anyone an idea why rpcclient isn't included there?
Thanks and regards
Heinz
