Hello,

I'm interested in creating a "bootstrap" iplable 3390 for my Redhat (lpar)
install.

I downloaded the images dir from the redhat site (into a USS hfs).

The directions for creating the "bootstrap" pack call for the following
files to be copied to disk:
(from Linux for IBM zSeries and S/390: Distributions)

- The kernel (e.g. cd1/suse/images/tapeipl.ikr)
- The parameter file (e.g. cd1/suse/images/parmfile)
- The RAMdisk (e.g. cd1/suse/images/initrd)

The redhat site has 2 versions of the initrd and kernel files. Does it
matter which ones I use ?

Also, I already have suse running in an lpar, is there any way that I can
bypass creating a redhat "boot O/S" and
actually do the redhat install from the suse lpar ?

Thanks in advance,
SG
