Do you have a test scenario where you have 4 or more nested VM levels, but /proc/sysinfo shows only 3? The code is supposed to retrieve all levels reported by STORE SYSTEM INFORMATION, up to the maximum of 8 supported by that instruction. If this doesn't work, either there's a bug in the Linux code or else the STSI instruction doesn't report everything it should ...
